My friend Ivan created the original portrait and I conceptualized it as a collaborative piece where everyone at a party was invited to paint over it as the night unfolded. The result became a completely new work, created collectively in the moment and intended as a statement in response to a negative teacher.

  • Paul Selinske is a freelance Illustrator that explores a variety of mediums including paint, ink, printmaking and digital to create imagery.  He attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco and then moved back to his home town of Pasadena to study at the Art Center College of Design. He now is working on several bodies of personal work and continuing to undertake new projects in his home studio in the foothills of Altadena.
