Tom Coston is the founder and Board Chair of Light Bringer Project, a Pasadena-based arts nonprofit known for creative community events like the Pasadena Chalk Festival, LitFest in the Dena and the Doo Dah Parade.
A life long believer that everyone has a creative side, Tom focuses on connecting people to art- from students discovering creative careers to local artists finding new audiences. His vision for The Art Market‍ ‍is to help artists gain exposure and thrive, while giving collectors a chance to discover incredible talent in their own backyard.
Outside of his curatorial work, Tom writes daily, makes a mean gin martini and can still play the accordion. Alongside his colleague Bianca Ornelas, he brings thoughtful consideration and strategic direction to The Art Market’s growing community

Operations Administrator
Sammy has always been drawn to the “behind the scenes” which is where she believes the real magic happens. With a background in event production, hospitality and operations she loves making the space to bring creative visions to life. Her love of art deepened through her husband, a fine art Printmaker and Press Man, influencing her to help build and create The Art Market as a platform for all artists to have their time to shine.
At The Art Market Sammy keeps things organized and consistent, a sounding board for creatives and a landing pad for directives. Outside of work, she’s known for her spot on impressions, a glass of champagne and a fascination with documentaries.

Tom Selinske is a lifelong advocate for creativity, education and community. As a co-founder of The Art Market, he draws on decades of experience helping students, artists and local business turn ideas into impact.
A longtime educator at FIDM, Tom has guided countless creative entrepreneurs to success and has played a leadership role across Pasadena’s civic and educational organizations. For him, The Art Market isn’t just about showcasing art- it’s about building a community that truly values imagination, collaboration and opportunity.
He hopes The Art Market becomes a place where artists feel seen, buyers feel inspired and everyone experiences the joy of connection through art. Outside of The Art Market, he enjoys cooking, oil painting and working on model trains, bringing that same strategic vision and generous spirit to the market that fuels his creativity.
